his three friends and they prayed to God for wisdom. The next day when Daniel appeared before the king he said, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come.” Daniel made his point. He wanted the king to see that none of his wisest men or astrologers could solve the mystery; only God knows with certainty what the future holds.
